Following graduation from the University of Queensland with postgraduate studies at the University of Canberra and following service in Papua New Guinea for the Australian Government, Robin James has pursued a career in the film industry in Australia.
At age 25 he joined the ABC as a Producer working principally in television production for ABC Children's / Education but also in News / Current Affairs in Canberra and as a broadcaster for Radio National. Producing more than 100 hours of national television throughout Australia and Asia including China, Robin developed an ongoing interest in Australian - Asia relationships and has received an Australia - Japan Foundation Award together with since completed appointments to Government advisory bodies including Malaysia's E-Village project. He was appointed foundation Chief Executive of the Pacific Film and Television Commission (PFTC) in Queensland, Australia in 1992, serving until his resignation from the public sector in 2009. In 2008, under his leadership, the PFTC received a Premier's Award for Excellence in Public Sector Management. Also in 2008 he was appointed a member of the International Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (Iemmys) in the USA.
Robin is committed to progressing the interests of the film and television industries and has been previously a Board member of Ausfilm, a member of Bond University Film Advisory Committee, Chair of the Open Learning Institute of Technical and Further Education (TAFE) and in November 2006 was elected the first non- American President of the United States based Association of Film Commissioners International (AFCI).
He has been awarded the Centenary of Federation Medal for services to the film industry, by the Prime Minister of Australia.
Anthony Gilby (Tony Gilby) has a broad background in the oil and gas industry ranging from technical through to corporate. He was previously co-founder and CEO of Sunshine Gas Ltd which was taken over by QGC/BG for over $1 billion in 2008. He obtained First Class Honours in Geology as well as the University Medal in Geology from the University of Adelaide in 1983. He is a director of Walcot Capital, Comet Ridge Ltd and Tlou Energy Ltd.
Tony is an avid supporter of the Arts and has always shown a keen interest in the Film and Television Industry. This has led to the launch of Ploughed Field Productions.
